What to Watch: March 2011

Happy St.David's day!

There’s a few films worth watching coming out this month, especially in terms of thrillers and action. Here’s a list of films we think you should check out, and maybe consider watching at the cinema this March.

Ok, now I want to know what they're looking at.

He's the good guy.

  • I Saw the Devil: South Korean thriller that you might have already watched, as it was originally released last year, but it looks as if it’s getting a western release this month. Well worth the watch, one of my favourites of 2010, no doubt about that. Bear in mind it’s super violent, and about a serial killer, so it’s not for everyone. Stars thoroughly awesome actors Min-sik Choi and Byung-hun Lee. If you liked Oldboy, you’ll more than likely enjoy this. Expected release: Early March.

Explosions? Count me in.

  • Battle: Los Angeles: This seems like an action/sci-fi film in lieu of War of the Worlds and Cloverfield. I’m not sure how good this is going to be on serious terms, but I have little doubt it’ll be fun as hell. Early reports seem to indicate people are impressed with what they saw, this is definitely one to consider this month. Comes out first week of March.

Poker face.

  • Limitless: Bradley Cooper and the man himself Robert De Niro star in this thriller with a very interesting premise: A copywriter (Cooper) discovers a secret drug, which gives him Superhuman abilities. Sounds real good, and it’s out very soon, so watch out for it.

These are just some of the films you should be looking out for this month, the ones that stand out the most to me, however there are a couple others that might interest you, so go and check out IMDB’s coming soon page here.
